Based on a successful international model, Teach for Romania will recruit a diverse group of leaders with a record of achievements who will work to expand educational opportunity, each of them starting by teaching for two years in a public school from a low-income community. They will be offered intensive training, support and career development that helps these leaders increase their impact and deepen their understanding of what it takes to close the achievement gap.

Teach for Romania will recruit outstanding university graduates and young professionals of all academic disciplines and career interests who demonstrate the core competencies needed to positively impact student achievement and become long-term leaders able to bring about systemic change. For more information on who we are looking for click here Our Fellows receive intensive pre-service and in-service training to build the skills and knowledge needed to maximize the impact on student achievement. The Teach for Romania Fellows will be placed in full-time paid teaching positions for two years in under-resourced schools. During this time they will be continuously supported by the Teach for Romania staff and by experienced mentors. See all the reasons to teach for Romania. During the two years spent in the classroom, our teachers will drive their students to excellence by supporting, guiding and motivating them to improve their educational outcomes, such as student achievement and grade completion rates. Teach for Romania will foster the network between Alumni and create clear and compelling paths to leadership for expanding educational opportunity. Teach for Romania is building partnerships with leading businesses and institutions to support our Fellows and Alumni in theirs teaching and following career development in whatever field they choose. Teach for Romania Alumni network will create a movement for social change that will work towards reforming the national education system so that all children have equal opportunities to learn, grow and improve their life prospects.
