Testimonials

I think I feel most proud of just how much I’ve cared. I didn’t really think when I first started that I would. I knew I wanted to make a difference, but I did think I would spend two years and probably go and do something else, and maybe much later in life come back and get back in to teaching. But I’ve gone in and I’ve realised I really, really passionately care about, you know, pupils being given options in life. – Adedeji Odunlami, Alumni Teach First, UK, now Head of Year at Cardinal Pole RC Secondary School

I could transform the way these kids from poor backgrounds learn as well as develop myself to constantly support such good causes throughout. I felt that not only I was getting 2 years of excellent work experience but also a wonderful personal transformation. – Krishna Yadavalli, Alumni Teach for India, now at IIT Madras

The challenge just seems huge when you start and I think you spend a lot of your first half term coming to terms with that challenge, breaking it down, learning what skills you need to acquire in order to address it. And once you come to terms with that, that’s when you can start moving on as a teacher and really getting to grips with the job. If you do go ahead and do it, and you feel it’s the right thing, you’ll have an awesome couple of years. You’ll walk out of it having leant an inordinate amount of stuff, prepared to go and you go and do.- David Mosley, Alumni Teach First, UK, now Assistant Brand Manager at Procter & Gamble
